This couple is very special to me, as college friends Erin & Gunnar started dating around the same time my husband and I did. One of my favorite things about them is they are real … and have real love. One of Erin’s favorite place is the beach, Ocean City Maryland to be exact. They were married on the sand in a barefoot ceremony but her grandfather… but it wasn’t too serious. Erin insisted it wouldn’t be too stuffy, formal or “normal”. It was special, and definitely their wedding. God gave us beautiful weather and gorgeous clouds … by far one of my favorite weddings …. Enjoy !
When I arrived at the girls condo it was buzzing with excitement, and then Erin got dressed and it got really quiet, Erin’s mom put her necklace on her and the whole atmosphere changed. There is just something about a wedding dress that means so much, a true symbol of purity and new beginnings…
Getting the boys ready was a challenge … none of them regularly wear ties but they cleaned up so well … the process got a little confusing for some of them.
Erin’s mom is one of my favorite women ( yes I said it !) She is sweet, strong, full of the love of Christ and conviction- she is the real deal and raised Erin the same way !!
Erin was gorgeous! What a beautiful bride, every piece of jewlery had a story so unique and perfectly picked out. She was full of job and couldn’t stop smiling.
Erim & Gunnar are both graphic artists, as they designed their own invitations ! So beautiful, yet not too formal, they were perfect for a beach wedding.
Right before Erin went down to the beach a letter from Gunnar was presented by her sister – in law, a beautiful moment, we all teared up !

These ladies were a BLAST .. so fun to work with, making my job super easy and they did everything they could for Erin – great friends !
Erin’s reception was hand- crafted and so special. As a graphic designer, she had wanted everything themed just right, and there were beautiful touches through out the whole reception. Place cards- with a twist, find your name within the sand box on a sand dollar !
This was the best entrance I have seen from a wedding party … each couple twisted and turned and …. got the groom’s men attention ! HA!
At every wedding I get a little emotional, and catch myself so I can work and capture the moment … but these dances were so heartfelt. The love and bond between a parent and child is something no one can describe BUT you can clearly see it between Erin and Gunnar’s parents.

The best part of Erin & Gunnars wedding ?? The decorations … the love between them … I think it’s the feeling of celebration and love from friends and family, it was overwhelming how genuinely happy and supportive everyone was at their wedding… and they danced the night away !
